About Soldier Care Packages
Our Mission Statement
SoldiersCarePackages.com is a nonpartisan, nonpolitical, patriotic project of the First Baptist Church of Hingham, MA, a 501(c)(3) organization since 2005. Our volunteer staff processes supply and financial contributions to send care packages to our deployed US troops and veterans to support their daily needs, encourage and sustain their morale, and show our appreciation for their unselfish service and sacrifices. We also want to increase awareness of the burdens that our soldiers share and how we can help.
We want our troops to know that their sacrifices will not go unnoticed!
Our History
Since our founding in 2005, we have been a 100% volunteer based outreach program that ensures veterans and deployed US troops in all branches of service are supported with care packages and cards/letters.
Since we are based totally on volunteerism, ALL proceeds go directly to purchasing and mailing the items requested by our troop units. There are no other expenses to cover. All care packages are customized to each unit's requests. We ensure the fulfillment of our donors' charitable intents. You can feel secure that 100% of your contribution is going exactly where you intend it to go. Our organization was established to address the growing need for assistance for those facing financial, medical, or social challenges.
The Challenge
The physical environments that our deployed US soldiers must endure are difficult plus they are separated from loved ones for long periods of time.
Due to these hardships, we need to show them love, respect and support.
Have you always wanted to do something for our soldiers but didn't know how? Or maybe you just never found the time to go out shopping. Maybe you didn't know what to send or what not to send. Or how to package everything or where to obtain the packing supplies. Maybe you didn't want to study how to fill out USPS forms, or even find military Point Leaders themselves. Government regulations and USPS guidelines confusing? You don't have to do all this. Let us do it for you.
Cumulative Statistics
82,000 lbs. of donations have been shipped since 2005.
We have served 353 Point Leaders since 2005.
This is multiplied many, many times by the other Soldier recipients in their units who receive our donations.
The First Baptist Church of Hingham hopes that our care package outreach will bring visible and tangible help to our soldiers and veterans, as well as emotional and spiritual support. FBC readily seized this challenge, establishing a commitment to serve our deployed men and women in need. We want to affect lives. We have stepped out in faith to provide resources, assistance, and prayers. We are God's tool, spreading love and caring.
